Sharing God’s gifts through serving others in Christ’s name
St. Mark’s Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is a leadership group, called from the parish community, to share with the Pastor the building up of the body of Christ and to be concerned with the overall welfare of the parish family.
The object of the Parish Pastoral Council is to bring the lay people and religious, along with their pastors, into a living Christian community together in ministry, identifying their needs and to exercise their talents. The events that are happening in St. Mark's Parish usually goes to PPC for discussion and to the priest for approval.
Currently, the members of PPC are represented by each of the ministries in our parish; the Knights of Columbus, Sacramental Ministries, Legion of Mary, and Catholic Women's League to name a few. The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is to take the witness of The Christ everywhere, first into our own lives, and then into the lives of everyone around us, so they too can become disciples of Christ.
